Using the vertical line tool, I can have a line run through the candle (which obfuscates the wicks), or I can thicken it but it displays over the selected bar, obfuscating everything. I'm trying to accomplish something like the extending rectangle tool, but vertically over a single bar. I want to highlight it and I want it to be behind the bar so I can still see the OHLC. Is there anything like this that currently exists? |

You can use the Drawing Tool like you are, just be aware of this setting that controls whether it is drawn above the bars or below them: Chart Settings: Draw Non-Highlight Chart Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
