I apologize. I don't think I was disrespectful. What I wrote was totally factual. I know everyone at SC is sincere and working diligently, and you do a great job. But please understand how frustrating it is for a consumer and day trader like me dealing with what for me is overwhelming technical challenges. While those technical instructions may be straight forward and easy for you, they are totally overwhelming and completely stop me from being able to trade. If you can put yourself in my head just for a moment, you'll understand how frustrating and annoying this is. I'm trying to make a living daytrading, and now I cannot because of overwhelming technical problems. I get that they are not overwhelming for you as technical geniuses, but they are in fact overwhelming for me. And if they are for me, you can bet they are for many other consumer/traders like me. Again, I am grateful for SC and all you do. But it is important that you understand this scenario not just from your own perspective, but from the perspective of traders like me. I can't do the technical work you say is easy. I'm not willing to do it. It's easier to open a new brokerage account and transfer funds with a data service that doesn't have the OEC problems. But now that is going to take a week or more to get approved at a new brokerage and get that data connected. I don't find any of this enjoyable at all. And if I were trading with real money based on my recent record, all of this so far would have cost me about $10,000 in lost trading profit. That's why it is so darn frustrating for me. Beyond all of this, I intend to stay with SC, because you are the best charting system for futures. Period. I appreciate all the technical work-arounds for the OEC data problems, but their are too many and they are too complicated. Since none of us know when all of this will be fixed, and since OEC apparently is not fixing it at their end for what is going on a week and a half for me, it appears the only solution with any certain outcome is to change brokers. So I will stick with SC and look for a new broker. I will be very grateful when I can just focus on trading again and not doing all this administrative, software, and technical work.

1. I don't work for SC; I am a trader 2. I think you should be venting your frustration at OEC, not SC. 3. Just an FYI, I've been running version 1107 with OEC for about 18 hours with no disconnects; ven through some quick volatility this morning. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-03-13 16:12:38

I understand your point TBondTrader, but I was addressing the software work-arounds that SC was suggesting, and those are not OEC issues. I also reistalled 1107 and the OEC data is coming in fine, but now market internals don't come through. I can't trade if I can's see the market internals. That was part of the whole discussion.

The problem has been resolved. OEC replaced hardware and also made a change with handling Logons. We are not seeing a problem currently.

Thanks SC Engineering, but it is not that easy. Not by a long shot. Your simplification doesn't come close to what is involved. Once you have two copies of SC installed, you must share data, and these additional instructions are in your own written words as follows. Now let's all say together OMG! This whole situation is a nightmare.
Not sure really sure why you want to share the data. You can always look at the market statistics charts in a separate copy of Sierra Chart. You can also detach the chart windows and place them anywhere on your system desktop: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_DetachingandAttachingChartWindows.html Anyway at this point, we see definitive changes on the OEC side which have resolved the basic problem. I also reistalled 1107 and the OEC data is coming in fine, but now market internals don't come through. If you have a problem with market statistics in version 1107, then update the Symbol Settings as explained here:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
