Hi There, Using a Spreadsheet for Trading and when doing a replay/backtest attached orders (Target and Stop) are being cancelled around and hour after being accepted. I have time in force "GTC" and U"use attached orders" checked in the trade window and "Cancel all orders on entries and reversals" set to NO and "Cancel all working orders on exit" set to NO in the spreadsheet settings. Also there are no formulas for exits as it is intended that all exits are set by the attached orders. I noticed that the same simulation, in some occasions the attached orders are cancelled one hour after being accepted and in other occasions around two hours after being accepted as shown in Trade Details I'm I missing any other setting? Thanks |

We need to know why they are getting canceled. We can think of no reason why Sierra Chart on its own would cancel simulated Attached Orders without an action from an automated trading system or user action triggering it. Another thing is that Day orders are considered GTC in Trade Simulation Mode. Is there any reason given in Trade >> Trade Service Log for the orders being canceled? Look at the Order Action Source field in the Trade >> Trade Activity Log >> Trade Activity tab for the orders to see if there is a reason given. One thing we make sure of is that a reason for order activity is given. If the reason for a canceled order is not clear, we need to make it more clear. So you need to help us to determine why they are getting canceled and we need to make sure it is clearly shown in the Order Action Source if not already. Another thing is that the Order Activity which is necessary to debug this problem is not logged when running a back test through the Trade menu. So you just need to do it manually from the Replay window.
