I mean, is there a global setting to silence(turn off/on) all of the audio generated from Sierra platform as I have multiple alerts using around 6 different alert sounds..some of them I'd rather not have heard while I'm on the phone or participating in a Webinar. If not, perhaps this is something that's been overlooked and in need of adding to the updates.. Just my opinion.. J. |

No. But we do have this in our to do list. Just something we have not gotten to out of the hundreds of things we have to do.

Totally understand..can only imagine the size of the list. I guess until then, I'll just have to close her down before web presentations where I can't lower the system's audio volume. Can't risk having the "wah wah wah" stock is sinking trombone alert going off again during a business call..lol |

We assume you may be aware this, but you can mute all sound from a particular program through the Windows Volume control panel.

Actually, I'm glad you brought that up because with Windows 7 just because a program is open doesn't mean it will show up in the system volume mixer. So, I would need to trick my Sierra platform into firing one of my audio alerts and then seize that window of opportunity to hit the mute button when the Sierra icon does show in the mixer... Please, spare me the inhumanity of this kind of Windows design flaw and whip together a Sierra based mute function :-) |

Just checking in to see if this feature was added yet..kind of a pain to have to trick my Windows Volume mixer into showing Sierra and then muting it's global sounds. Please advise, J. |

I totally agree with User 72120, using windows 7 to mute SC alerts can be very messy and quite a pain... I use 6 SC instances simultaneously (with different instruments) and it would be very, very helpful to be able to "switch off and on" the sounds of the alerts on each different instance separately, according to the momentarily needs. I have already tried an external software to get it done but it didn't work properly with SC... So SC Engineering, please try to implement this feature when possible. It will be very welcome. Thank you. |

In ver 1164, there is a new option Global Settings >> Mute All Alert Sounds. This can also be added as a toolbar button.

This does not work. There is still the annoying "ding" tone whenever a trade is entered or exited. I've spent hours in the online guide, deleted all sound files in sound file folder for SC, and still the ding, ding tone. How do I get rid of it and have zero sounds from SC? |

Yep, the mute does not work. Checked or unchecked, sounds still blast through. Please fix. |

We have tried a few different areas, and the Mute All Alert Sounds consistently mutes the alerts. Where is the alert that you are having an issue with? Is this when entering a trade (or exiting, or both) or somewhere else?
