I started using the SC datafeed yesterday. I tried to place a limited order today at 12:18 Pacific Time but it was rejected. The following are the last lines of the Message Log.

I'm not sure what the problem is, unless there is some setting I need to adjust with the SC datafeed. Please let me know. Thanks.

The Message Log is not helpful in this particular case. What does the Trade >> Trade Service Log show when the order is rejected? In most cases you will need to contact your broker about what you see there for a rejected order.

Not really sure about this. Error code 23 translates to:
API_MINOR_ERROR

This is from the Rithmic software. No idea what that means. Never seen it before.

Try selecting File >> Disconnect and then File >> Connect to Data Feed.

If there still is a problem we will have to contact Rithmic about it.

In the Data/Trade Service Settings,
Enable FIX Logging is unchecked. I don't know if this is relevant.

I'll try placing another order tomorrow. I'll let you know if the problem persists.
BTW I'm glad there was an error. I would have been stopped out.

Just to let you know. I closed the instance of SC using the SC datafeed and opened another instance using Rithmic as the datafeed and I was able to place an order without any problems.

OK, then that indicates that an order cannot be placed without subscribing to data through the Rithmic data feed. We did not know that. Maybe Rithmic can solve that. You are the first user to report this.

We have discussed this with Rithmic, and they let us know what we need to do to resolve this. So this will be resolved in the next release. We will try to get this out this evening.

Just FYI - I remember running into "similar(or same)" issues recently(twice - but not sure what the exact error message was - Rithmic + SC realtime feed ) and ended up performing symbol reset and it has worked for me. You might want to try it out.

thanks

Thanks for the suggestion ejtrader. I'll try that Friday until SC fixes it in the next release.

We do not see how that suggestion will work at all.
