Hi,

I need to display 4 workspaces side by side on my monitors.
I've created 1 sub instance of the main instance and reopened an existing chartbook
On the main instance the charts load all the continuous data for the current contract
However on the sub instance it ONLY loads the current contract data.

The message logs
CLF1-NYMEX [CB] Daily #5 | Error while getting daily open price with date 2020-11-21 from file. C:\SierraChart\SierraChartInstance_2\Data\CLZ20.dly. Error: No Data for read. End of file. | 2020-11-23 18:51:22.768

In the main instance, I do have the file clz20.dly and loads the data perfectly fine in that instance but not in the sub instance.

I have checked the support board and have not found any answer to this issue.

Can you please answer urgently as I need a solution to this issue.

Thank you

After further researching I see the historical data being downloaded but just for the curent contract indeed.
When changing the Continuous contract setting from Volume Based rollover to None, it indeed displays the historical data for the contract since it started
However when I chnage the setting back to rollover it only displays historical data for 4 days without showing the previous contract data...

So the issue seems not to be related to the download of the data but to the rollover of the contracts in the sub instance which doe snot display correcrtly.
Thank you for your help

Just solved the issue by deleting and reloading chart data in the main instance and then in the sub instance as suggested in
Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data

Issue solved
Thanks

Yes those are the correct instructions. You also need to update to a current version of Sierra Chart:

Software Download: Fast Update

You are running an out of date version. The process of re-downloading data in a sub instance is just a single step that only needs to be done in the sub instance.
