Sierra Chart (Version 2192 64-bit (34321))

Since Wednesday I could not connect to CQG WebAPI. AMP tried already to support since yesterday, but with no solution.

I have also checked the Data/Trading Service Connection and Symbol Issues. Unable to Connect to Data or Trade Server. 1.2. Network Communication or Server Problem

-> (Service Name/Socket Name) | Windows error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

So I did restart in Safe Mode with Network support to exclude issues with the firewall, but this did not solve the issue.

I would appreciate to have input from Sierra Chart to this issue as soon as possible. Please refer to the attachment log file !

Best regards

This we cannot help with. You have done all of the right things.

We would like to know if you can connect to the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service.

If so, you can switch to that service.

Set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings>> Service to SC Futures Order Routing/Data. Press OK.

On the menu select File >> Connect to Data Feed. And then provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog

You should get an error message that says Trade Account Not Assigned. In which case you can actually reach the server and there is no network connectivity issue.

Thanks for your quick answer.

I follow your instructions to connect to the SC Future Order Routing/Data and as expected there is this Service Connection Error, please refer to the attachment !

Which indicates, that the connectivity of the Sierra Chart programm side is working, right?

Yes definitely.

Go to the operating system command line and use the following command:
IPConfig /flushDNS

See if that resolves the problem you have connecting to CQG.

Are you trading just the CME Group of exchanges? Are you trading EUREX?

I did flush the DNS, BUT this does not solve the connecting issue with CQG.

BUT in addition I opened an sub instance and the sub instance could load the latest chart data, but it does not refresh automatically. So if I close the sub instance and reopen again the latest data of all sub instance charts get loaded. However this does NOT work with the main instance! The sub instance message log are attached.

So it seems that in some way the data can be receive but not automatically and not with the main instance !

Can you check this for me ?

We cannot help with the CQG connection issue but we can help you get set up with the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

For the EUREX data you need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

In a couple of months the Denali Data Feed will be providing an enhanced EUREX data feed even much better than CQG.

We will follow-up with you on Monday.

Hi,

I am interessted.

So to be sure: In the Package: Eurex with Market Depth of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed is included the FESX (Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50), the FDAX (DAX Index) and the FDXM (MINI Dax) ?

What is the different between the Data Feed Eurex with Market Depth and Eurex Professional Feed, including Market Depth ?

Please let us know if you want us to give you a call?

You can find the current EUREX Symbol list here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=Futures#EUREX

I see:
[Description: Stoxx 50, Symbol: FS]
[Description: Mini DAX Index, Symbol: TM]
[Description: DAX Index, Symbol: DY]

Regarding "What is the different between the Data Feed Eurex with Market Depth and Eurex Professional Feed, including Market Depth ?"
-- on an existing basis the data is the same, it just depends upon whether you qualify as a Professional or Non-Professional in the eyes of the EUREX
