Hello I am trying to pull options charts for individual equities from Interactive Brokers. I can pull other charts of theirs quite ok, but have yet been able to pull any options charts for individual equities. I have contacted them about this as well but have not heard back yet. I am using the contract convention as stated in your materials. For example, I am trying to pull up the 265 Call for Facebook expiring Aug 21 '20. Based on the information from Sierra Charts, I think the contract structure to pull up this chart would be: FB-OPT-20200821-265-C-NYSE-100-USD When I try this I get a "Symbol is Unknown" error... We are not able to help with IB symbol issues. We have terminated all technical support for Interactive Brokers. You are on your own with this.

Ok is there any other data service that I could use that you recommend for the data? Also, in general, I will likely be moving towards futures trading and I noticed that you offer your own routing service which I am happy to hear about. I am very impressed with the stability of Sierra Charts platform over pretty much everything else I have tried. It's obvious you guys take a lot of pride in your work. Do you have a broker whose tech team seemed particularly responsive and impressive in your opinion? Though it's a long shot, I thought I would also ask: do you know of any freelancers that you might recommend for coding work for your platform? Thanks. |

The only other data service that we work with that offers Equity Options would be IQFeed.
