Good afternoon,

I am looking to trade soft commodities and am currently on the Deanli exchange which does not cover ICE futures. Please advice on the best way forward.

If you want to get real-time data for ICE, then that is available on the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. We recognize that this requires extra fees due to the 2 different Exchange Data feeds, therefore we give you a $10 USD per month credit to your account when you are using both data feeds.

For more information about the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, refer to the information here:

Is this still correct? I want ICE data as well (using IB) but I don't see ICE US Futures listed on that page:

We are no longer offering the real-time ICE data. You would have to see if you can the data from your trading service.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Ok, so I subscribed to ICE Futures US data directly from IB. The live intraday data is feeding into my SC, but I can't download the missing historical intraday data since I was last subscribed to ICE via you directly a year ago. I'm using the method of right clicking on an intraday chart before the missing data and choosing Delete and Download data, which is how I usually force a download of missing historical intraday data, but there is still a big gap in the chart and the relevant .scid files are empty. I've attached a log printout trying this for CT futures (ICE cotton) so you can see what's going on ...

We really do not know and can not say what is happening. This is the IB data, so you would need to ask them about any missing data.

It seems that IB don't offer historical intraday ICE data. Their live feed is also pretty unreliable :-(

What other options do you recommend for live and historical intraday ICE futures data? Out of interest, why did you stop offering it?

There are very few users of it. Less than 10, and we have to focus our resources on what we can do best, and to serve the majority of users and not get distracted with other side items, especially in a very challenging world in which we live in right now.

ICE data is something that we do not offer directly, through another provider (Barchart), and we have no interest with putting up with continued problems with external services.

And with the price increases from ICE, and other changes regarding symbols, maintaining it just was not worth the effort.

For ICE you can use the supported IQ Feed service:

The IB ICE live feed sometimes doesn't update the bars on the intraday chart. Is there a setting in SC somewhere to force it to pull the data from IB, or this is an IB issue?

This is going to be an Interactive Brokers issue. Also refer to this help topic:

Is it possible to use IQ Feed for just the ICE data, while continuing to use Denali for Full CME Group? It will be much more expensive if I have to pay for each of the CME group individually through IQ. I would still be connecting through the Interactive Brokers trading service.

Yes but do you mean within the same installation of Sierra Chart?

You need to run two installations of Sierra Chart but the data can be combined into one following the instructions here:

Do you have any suggested broker for trading ICE products through Sierra Chart?

We do not have any specific brokers that we can point you to. You would just have to ask around. Or perhaps other community members have some thoughts.
