Yesterday I changed to AMP with the SC Order Routing via TT FIX. I converted my chart symbols using the EDIT -> TRANSLATE SYMBOLS TO CURRENT SERVICE.

It worked but took a long time. I don't actually know how long as I went to bed. However, I just added 100 days to my TPO chart on CLJ20 in order to get more history (changing from 300 days to 400 days) and it took 20 mins to load the data. I have been using the Denali feed for several months now, but only started seeing this very slow data load response since I switched to AMP yesterday.

Could you please advise me. Perhaps a setting has changed on my chart and it is loading Tick data (which is not needed for a TPO chart) or something but I cannot find any setting.

Having a different symbol for a chart data file is not going to hurt performance in any way. Fresh data has been downloaded for the symbols. Maybe you had compressed the data previously and do not need tick by tick data assuming Sierra Chart is set to download tick by tick data.

Otherwise, this must be a system specific issue. We recommend looking at the items in help topic 30:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

Here is the relevant help topic about not using tick by tick data:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.12 - Intraday Data Storage Time Unit. Historical Data Record Time Frame.

It does sound like you do have a system specific issue. A chart should load very quickly. Certainly in less than a minute or seconds for a small number of days.

Try disabling any antivirus/security software you have. This is one of the help topic items.

Another thing is that once you begin the process of translating the symbols close the Chartbook and save it. In this way any studies which would be taking calculation time, as the data is downloaded, will no longer have a performance impact.
