Having a different symbol for a chart data file is not going to hurt performance in any way. Fresh data has been downloaded for the symbols. Maybe you had compressed the data previously and do not need tick by tick data assuming Sierra Chart is set to download tick by tick data. Otherwise, this must be a system specific issue. We recommend looking at the items in help topic 30: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often Here is the relevant help topic about not using tick by tick data: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.12 - Intraday Data Storage Time Unit. Historical Data Record Time Frame. It does sound like you do have a system specific issue. A chart should load very quickly. Certainly in less than a minute or seconds for a small number of days. Try disabling any antivirus/security software you have. This is one of the help topic items. Another thing is that once you begin the process of translating the symbols close the Chartbook and save it. In this way any studies which would be taking calculation time, as the data is downloaded, will no longer have a performance impact.
