So what do I need to change the Chart Update Interval to? I'm sorry but there is no reason I should need to reduce the bandwith. I have gig internet via comcast, just took this screenshot with all my charts and DOM going and downloading at 855Mbps. I would be more than happy to send over a video of the Sierra DOM vs Tradovate, the Sierra DOM "thumps" from one price to the next and misses bid/ask price updates. Also, I am running this on a brand new PC with AMD Threadripper 12 core processor and 128gb of RAM, so it isnt my PC either. Only can be Sierra or Denali so how can we figure this out. Also, I have no issue with any pricing updates on Tradovate DOM. I am happy to provide anything you guys need to help me resolve this issue.

We apologize for the delay. This needed to be on the Support Board and we needed some time to think about all possibilities. We recommend using 200 ms on the Trading DOM itself for the Chart Update Interval: Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu) Additional information is here: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.5 - Chart Update Interval Still follow the instructions here to reduce bandwidth and see if it helps: Prices / Data Falling Behind: 4.12 - Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feeds This is absolutely essential to isolate the problem. Maybe you have a problem with too much processing within Sierra Chart causing the user interface to become unresponsive at times. If so refer to help topic 30: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. What has also greatly improved performances for me is not running charts withing the main instance chartbook, just a DOM, but nothing which requires too much processing power. Then I run charts and studies, market depth analysis in a sub instance. I suspect that if the main instance has a chartbook with a lot of charts and studies, the processing power it takes to refresh the chartbooks in the main instance will have a direct impact on the data feed processing speed of all sub instances (needs confirmation by Sierra Charts Support), as sub instances are connected through localhost to the main instance. |

the processing power it takes to refresh the chartbooks in the main instance will have a direct impact on the data feed processing speed of all sub instances No because market data is processed on a background thread in the main instance and sent from that same thread to the sub instance. Market data processing in the sub instance is also on a separate thread.
