Hello,
I have set my number bars to point and figure 4-1.

I set the numbers bars setting "Open and Close marker style" to either filled candle stick, or open to close box.

But the coloring seems wrong, unless I misunderstood how it works.

On the 3 images attached, you can see on the second bar on the right, that close > open (imageopenclosesigns.JPG) . I would have expected the filled candlestick to be GREEN, as well as the Open to close boxes.

Still you can see they are red on the 2 other images.
This seems incorrect.

Can you please confirm?

Those colors are controlled by the following Input and the one after it for the Numbers Bars study:
Numbers Bars: Open Marker / Up Box Color

Also refer to the general information here for drawing the open/close boxes that also includes the information on the color settings:
Numbers Bars: Drawing Open to Close Boxes on Side of Numbers Bar

Hello John,
I read your links:

Up Box Color: This color Input sets the Open Marker color, or the Open to Close boxes color for when a bar is an up bar.

Isn't an up bar defined by the close > open? If yes, then, as you can see in my image there is wrong coloring.

Can you please attach your chartbook to this post following these instructions:

And let us know the date and time where those bars are from along with the time zone of your chart.

Ok I think I got it.
Up / Down bar status in case of Point and Figure charts (and maybe other types also) is determined by X or O corresponding state of price P&F column.... NOT by open / close relationship. So a an X column will always be considered UP even if price opens at a level, and close lower.

It somewhat makes sense, although is counter intuitive when not knowing this.

I suggest you add a note on the documentation about that.

Yes, that would explain it. We see you mentioned that it was a Point and Figure chart originally, but we did not catch on to that right away.

We have updated some of the documentation related to the Point and Figure graph types and noted that the Xs are up and Os are down.
