Hi, I am having issues where my sub instance is failing to connect. Do both instances have to be the same version of Sierra chart? I am receiving the error message; Connect event error. Windows error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Thanks |

Just to confirm go to the main instance of Sierra Chart and select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> SC Server Settings. Is Enable DTC Protocol Server enabled and is the Listening Port set to 11099? If yes, we think the problem is caused by firewall software on your computer. Temporarily disable it. And for the record this is the first time we have heard of a problem like this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thanks for that suggestion, for some reason the Enable DTC Protocol Server wasn't ticked, and this solved the issue. Thanks for your help |
