I am excited about the order routing feature that you are introducing. CQG had a data outage in my region (Singapore) yesterday and I was locked out of the service for more than an hour. My question is will this service, together with data be bundled with my broker (AMP Clearing) so that I only deal with them when it comes to payment? Also I am trading from Asia. Will there be any latency issue?

You would never be locked out of our Sierra Chart order routing service. Although we can make no assurance about the backend TT order routing itself. Since that is handled by TT and your account is controlled by your broker. You would never get locked due to authentication issues due to the design of the system. Unless your broker were to remove your TT account. And there are 6 servers available. If one is not accessible for some reason, there is another one automatically connected to. You can pay for this service fully through your AMP account. So that is no problem. Get started by following the set up instructions on this page here: Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service Once you complete the trading account assignment form, we will then follow-up with AMP in regards to your account. As far as latency goes, we recommend using the Aurora data center server. That will give you the lowest latency. We recommend not using our Singapore server and we may shut that down because there was an interruption with that server recently. It was a data center issue. We were unhappy with the time they took to fix it. Users were just simply connected to another server during the interruption though and then upon the next reconnection when the server was available they were connected back to the Singapore server. All of this is handled automatically. We also have a server in London and Germany. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Seeing as Singapore/Asia is discussed here. I am in Japan. My Ping to the CQG trading server in Tokyo is ~ 10-15ms. Your closest server to me is Server 5, TT Singapore. TT state that Tokyo to TT Singapore server line latency is 63.1ms https://www.tradingtechnologies.com/infrastructure/global-network/ Click on the server names. Will you make use of the TT Tokyo server in the future? It is not listed here in bullet point 11. Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service Apologies for any misconceptions on my behalf on this topic. |

The ping time to CQG or to the Sierra Chart Singapore server is irrelevant. You should not put any emphasis on that at all. If you are trading the CME group of exchanges, the only reason to be using a server outside of Aurora, is if you have connectivity problems to the Aurora server. And also for backup. This is all. The lowest latency is always going to be to the Aurora server. If you do not care about latency, and you want higher latency, then it does not matter then. I started this thread. I recently moved to Sierra Routing and Denali data from CQG. I am especially impressed by the speed and efficacy of the team in getting this done. The entire process is well documented and executed without any glitch.
