Commission Issue After Upgraded to 1991

After I upgraded from 1953 to 1991, Sim stopped deducting commissions from P/L (worked before upgrade). Then I noticed "Use Commission" in Trade Activity Log was unchecked after the upgrade, so, I checked it back, didn't help. I didn't notice anything else had been changed, nothing has been changed in Symbol Settings under Global Settings. Not sure what I missed? I had "Sierra3.cfg" backed up from my previous version, copied it to c:\SierraChart\, didn't work either. Thanks. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-10-03 21:25:48

Enable Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Use Custom Symbol Settings Values. And then go to the Trade Activity Log and press the Apply button. Thanks for your reply, I tried (also set the correct commissions for the product I trade), it didn't work. The old version of SC on my other computer doesn't have "Use Custom Symbol Settings Value" enabled, just have the "Use Global Round Turn Commission" enabled and it works. |

I followed the instruction, no luck. It doesn't really bother me, I will leave it as-is. It's probably safe to say that version 1953 behaved differently with version 1991, with 1953, I didn't have "Use Custom Symbol Settings" nor "Use Commission" (in Trade Activity Log) enabled/checked, I just enabled "Use Global Round Turn Commission", and Sim deducted commission from P/L. Thanks all the same. |

What symbol pattern did you set the round turn commission on in the Symbol Settings? And what is the symbol in the Trade Activity Log which you are expecting to see the commission applied to? I am actually back to 1953 now. Everything works as I expect it to be. I would like to see commissions applied in Trade Window and "Trading: Profit/Loss Text" study on chart (Sim). I am trading ES, but I didn't set anything for ES-######-GLOBEX, (in Symbol Settings window) the "Round Turn Commission" for ES-######-GLOBEX is still 0, nor did I check "Use Custom Symbol Settings". What I did is checking "Use Global Round Turn Commission" under "Other Settings". I put number 4.1 in the box follows, which is the round turn commission I pay to my broker for 1 ES contract. The symbol in the Trade Activity Log right now is ES-201912-GLOBEX. I do run 1 sub instance quite often, Sims in both instances deduct commissions properly, and I didn't enable "Use Commission" in Trade Activity Log in both instances. There definitively is no issue. There could not be. The commission functionality does work properly. Bingo! When "Use Symbol Commission Setting in Trade List..." is checked (Chart Settings -> Advanced Settings 3), commissions are properly deducted from P/L. Sorry for confusing you guys, I should've looked it harder. Thanks very much! |
