Could you create a keyboard hotkey in the TRADE category for clearing all "Recent Bid/Ask Volume on ALL ChartDOMs" in the workspace at the same time?

Yes you can already set this up. Refer to:
Global Settings Menu: Customize Keyboard Shortcuts (Global Settings menu)

In the list on the left, look for the Commands under the Trade list.

In my version of SC there is a hotkey that is called Clear Recent Bid/Ask Volume on ChartDOM. But this shortcut only clears the active DOM not all DOMs simultaneously.

Hi User525997,

I also raised this issue a few days earlier in this thread: 'Clear ALL bid/ask' and 'Center ALL' on ChartDOM and TradeDOM
The clear commands (and hence their hotkeys) do not work as documented.

As you can see, the response from SC is to say that the issues I'm raising are 'impossible' or imply that I have a problem reading the documentation.

Overall, that is now 3 users, who have noticed that the clear commands are not working properly....maybe when we reach 10 people stating this issue, SC might get around to actually testing the issues raised.

This is 100% a definite impossibility, so we need to understand exactly what it is you are doing and what exactly you are seeing and why. We are waiting for you to do what we said in post #9 in that thread:
'Clear ALL bid/ask' and 'Center ALL' on ChartDOM and TradeDOM | Post: 189428

If you do not help us, we cannot help you.

And of course we tested this. And could not reproduce. It would not even make any sense we could possibly reproduce it.

And there is a reason why it is 100% impossible because the storage of that data when a chart is not replaying comes from a single common storage for all charts and Trading DOMs. When it is cleared it is cleared from that one common location.

And we tested this again right now. We could not reproduce it. It would be just impossible for us to reproduce. This is precisely why we need you to show us what you are seeing so we can get a better understanding of exactly what is happening in your case.

@SC, i think you misunderstand the entire issue here.. it is NOT about several DOMs of the same instrument, its about multiple DOMs with different instruments..

the thread starter is looking for a way to clear ALL DOM's recent trades - like 1 ES, 1 NQ, 1 RTY DOM open in his chart book - (and as a bonus the current trades columns) with one single hotkey.

The thread starter (me) can speak for himself. :-)

I use 9 doms with different symbols. The current hotkey in SC clears the active dom. I would like to have a hotkey that clears the recent traded bid volume and recent traded ask volume of all my 9 doms with different symbols simultaneously. You could call it: „Clear Recent Traded Bid/Ask Volume on all ChartDOMs“. Why is such a hotkey useful? e.g Correlation Plays, News Events, Risk on/off sentiment

SC Engineering, just wondering if this is still in your backlog and if you'll be adding it to a sprint in the near future?

I just made the transition from Jigsaw and this is the single crucial feature that I can't replicate in my SC DOMs. I've found a lot of requests for it in the forum from different people; it would be very valuable if you could add it.

If not, is this something that I can create myself in ASCIL or C? Could you please point me in the right direction for info on that if you don't plan on releasing the feature soon.

Thank you.

This has been added and is in the most recent version (v1987). We will get the documentation for the commands.

The commands are under the Trade pulldown menu as Clear Recent Bid/Ask Volume - All Symbols and Clear Current Traded Bid/Ask Volume - All Symbols.

Selecting one of these options will clear the respective columns for all charts in all chartbooks.

Thank you! It seems like a small thing but it's a very valuable feature.

I want to use the new feature but I'm having trouble updating SC to v1987. I've tried twice. First, using Help > Download Current Version; second using Help > Download PreRelease. Both times, I restarted SC as prompted but if I go to Help > About it says that I'm still on v1971.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how I can get the update to occur?

Thank you.
