I am about to change my method from volume based on "Based Dominant Side AskVol to BidVol Percentage". From my point of view, the result is displayed wrong(see #1) My values are: 25%, 40% and 60% (see settings #3) To get the correct representation, I have displayed the values in Excel (#2). Is it possible that the values are calculated wrong or is it me? Furthermore, I noticed that zero values are calculated. From my point of view in this case you should always use Range 0 colors. (version: 1968) Pls see pic. Many txs. |

Your calculation method in excel is not consistent with the documentation, see link - Numbers Bars: Background Coloring Based on Dominant AskVol BidVol To Volume At Price Percentage It does not make sense to use values less than 1 (100%), as based on how the study is calculated (percent relative to each other), the dominant side (if there is one) will always have a value greater than 1 (100%), as to be dominant it must be greater than 100% of the non-dominant side. e.g. Bid = 100 Ask = 200 Bid % = Bid / Ask Ask % = Ask / Bid Bid % = 0.5 (50%) Ask % = 2.0 (200%) Hope this helps. I am absolutly with you. The (-) solutions are only as a helping hand to see the different between "blue" and "red". In all cases Bid>Ask I set x(-1) only.

Sorry, it seems that somehow I posted a link to the wrong NB setting..... I meant to link this one - Numbers Bars: Background Coloring Based on Dominant Side AskVol BidVol Percentage Maybe it makes better sense with the correct documentation? Negative numbers in your spreadsheet are not what I was referring to, it was numbers with an absolute value less than 1 (100%). In your SC screen shot, Range 3 coloring is always applied to the dominant side. This is because the dominant is always more than 100% of non-dominant side. I don't know what exactly you want to see in the NBs, but suggest you try 1.25, 1.4, 1.6 and see what the result is. |

@ User907968 Now I got it :-)) I see the (my) problem. At the moment I am using "Based on AskVolBidVolDfference - Actual". It works fine. However I use a QuoteBoard too. In this case absolute numbers are not useful - the better way are relative numbers. Ihave to test it (if it works in connection with a QuoteBoard). Now I know my error of thought and I will take it into my considerations. Many thank. |

@ User907968 See pic. To test it under real conditions I opened a second Column. |
