Your calculation method in excel is not consistent with the documentation, see link - Numbers Bars: Background Coloring Based on Dominant AskVol BidVol To Volume At Price Percentage It does not make sense to use values less than 1 (100%), as based on how the study is calculated (percent relative to each other), the dominant side (if there is one) will always have a value greater than 1 (100%), as to be dominant it must be greater than 100% of the non-dominant side. e.g. Bid = 100 Ask = 200 Bid % = Bid / Ask Ask % = Ask / Bid Bid % = 0.5 (50%) Ask % = 2.0 (200%) Hope this helps.
