Hi, When I attempt to overlay the BitMEX 20 day moving average onto a 4 hour chart, the value of the moving average on the destination chart incorrect. On both charts under Chart Settings I've set the the Time Zone to New York EST; also under data/trade service settings, I've also set the Time Zone to New York EST. When I set Time Zones to UTC time however, the value of the 20 SMA is correct overlayed onto the 4 hour chart. Please fix this problem, this is not due to pilot error. ZS |

Sorry, this post has no merit. There is no possibility of anything being wrong. The result you get is based on the data and the Study/Price Overlay study settings. And the time zone settings certainly can have an impact on this if you are copying from a Historical Daily chart but that does not mean there is anything wrong. With all due respect, you're wrong. I have followed the time zone settings to a T. I still get the same inaccurate overlay when using NY EST. Try it yourself if you don't believe me. Put a 20 SMA on a Daily Chart, then try and overlay it onto a 4 hour chart using EST. The value for the 20 SMA on the destination chart will be wrong. Again, the only way I can get the two to be the same is to use UTC time. ZS Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-06-13 03:08:47
