Hi, I followed the instructions for creating a new instance of Sierra using the same connection, as is explained here; https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/NewInstance.php. However, when I go to login to both instances on a fresh session it logs out of the one, when I try to login to the other instance. How can I rectify this issue? Thanks, Tom |

Make sure you are starting the other instance with File >> New Instance to avoid this. Also what you are describing is a restriction placed by CQG in this particular case. Not Sierra Chart. Thank you for the response. I started the other instance using File >> New Instance. Once I have created that new instance, should that new instance file work going forward? Or do I need to create a new instance every time I login? I will contact CQG too, because I can't understand why it works upon the initial creation of the new instance, but not on later attempts to use both instances simultaneously. |

should that new instance file work going forward? Yes, but make sure that Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service is set to DTC - Sub Instance. It needs to connect to the main instance of Sierra Chart. It cannot operate independently or connect directly to an external trading service like CQG if you want to share the connection.
