[Locked] - Daily P & L data incorrect in DOM and Chart

The daily PL data showing on my DOM is not matching the correct info displayed in the Trade Activity Log.

I have already tried clearing the Sim trade data and this does not resolve the issue.

This started to occur when I upgraded to the latest version of Sierra. 1785

I have followed the information on this page but the Daily PL is still showing incorrect on my chart vs. the trade activity screen. Why would this happen ?

fixed the problem by going back to version 1781.

We are not aware of any problems in the newer versions. We just ran a basic test now and did not see any problem. And it would be definitively very unexpected that there would be a problem and we do not believe that there is even with what you have showed. There must be some other explanation.

There are many items that have to be checked and as a matter of policy we do not undertake that, unless we believe there is a problem. And at this point we do not, because nothing has changed that we are aware of that would cause a problem and we cannot reproduce any issue either.

However, what we can do is get your Trade Activity Log file, the Trade Stats Reset Time, the Chartbook and also the time zone setting and then we can have a look. As you can see, there is a lot of information needed for us to run a proper test. And then we would need a screenshot of when you see a problem and know the particular Date and Time and time zone that has occurred. If you want to proceed with that, let us know. We will need everything requested and can provide further details if you want to proceed.

And it is because of all of the above, why initially there was not any further response from us. It is not always productive for us to go through these cases in detail and see what the problem is.

Actually thinking about this some more, now that we pay closer attention to the Daily PL in the chart, being that it is an odd value, it might have to do with this new setting:

Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 3 >>Use Symbol Commission Setting in Trade List and Statistics Calculations

That does not exist in the older version. Make sure it is unchecked. So you can see, probably our conclusion that there is some other explanation most likely is correct.

We have now updated the documentation to explain to not use the Commission setting either on the Trade Activity Log or the chart. We believe that is the reason for the difference.

I have noticed exactly the same issue. I am running version 1904.

My P/L on the Chart Trade Window shows positive when I trade and am profitable but the DAILY P&L or NET P&L is always showing negative and is fixed even when trade open.

I noticed that the DAILY P&L/NET P&L is only ever negative and it only ever changes when an order is entered or closed meaning it seams to be capturing only commissions. Switching the COMMISSIONS off for the Trade Activity Log and in the Chart Advanced3 settings makes no difference.

I also noticed that the value it jumps by seems to be in CENTS and not DOLLARS.

This happens in SIM mode and LIVE trading mode.
