Hi, before 9th March, connection and trading on Bitmex with Sierra Chart runs smoothly. After that day, it does not work. However, Sierra Chart could connect to Bitmex by Cryptocurrencies Data - DTC Service. And I can only trade on Bitmex website. This really has a big influence on my trading. I tried to contact bitmex support, never got a response. My bitmex account is **, in case you need it to contact with bitmex about my disconnection issue. Attached is the message log. Thanks for your time. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-03-19 00:54:09

Hi, I can still access the chart via Cryptocurrencies Data - DTC Service, so I am happy with Sierra Chart, please keep my account active, do not put a hold on it. Could you think about programming a separate .exe file for only trading on Bitmex via its API, not for price chart, is that possible? If not possible, what's the difficult point? Due to Bitmex side or Sierra Chart side? If it's due to Bitmex side, which means it's also not possible for me to develop a program only for trading via Bitmex API, right? Thanks for you time, and have a good day. |

We are not sure of the reason for the connection problem. We do not see how it is an issue on our side with connecting to BitMEX. In regards to automated trading, there are two ways this can be done. Using ACSIL: Automated Trading From an Advanced Custom Study Or the DTC Server: Data and Trading Communications (DTC) Protocol Server Of course neither of these are going to be usable for live trading available until the connection problem is resolved. But you can do simulated trading by using BitMEX market data: Cryptocurrency / Bitcoin Data and Trading Services So you can at least get started with any programming now. I looked through the instructions about API of Bitmex. It seems the REST API is the only API used for trading, and Sierra Chart is using the Websocket API which only for chart. |

The web socket API is also in part used for trading.
