Can't login anymore - Timeout Error

Upon running SC and attempting to login I get the following error:

Sierra Chart Login Error.
Timeout error. There was no response.

I have internet connection. User and password ID are correct. Nothing changed in my system. Subscription it valid.

Please help.

This is going to be caused by most likely a firewall on your system. Not the Windows firewall though.

- It is not "1 - Internet Communication or Server Problem" as can browse this page from same computer.
- It is not "2 - Firewall" as SC fails to launch when logging into Windows in Safe Mode (same "Timeout error").
- It is not "3 - HTTP Proxy Server" as can access SC from another computer in the same local network.

Installing a fresh SC instance (v.1717) in a different folder did not help.
The only changes in the system since last successful login are a) update Dropbox and b) install & uninstall of Zoom Video Conferencing.

Can you offer any further support? Not fond of having to do a fresh Windows install just to have SC working.

In all of our tremendous vast experience, we know specifically that this type of problem is due to a firewall. So with certainty it is 2. Not sure why Safe Mode is not helping.

Our recommendation for now is just to use another computer.
