I made a huge mistake today. I upgraded to the latest stable sierracharts version. You guys changed the way you define groups/acccounts with Interactive Brokers. I checked the manual on page: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/IB.php and it's not updated. It still describes how to enter position account and orders accounts like before. screenshot in section nr.12. If you guys change something in the stable sierracharts verisons, would you be so kind to update your manual, I have no clue what to do now. I assume the position accounts are not filled in anymore and you only use the groups defined in TWS ? I noticed this when I entered orders and some customers didn't received them. Thanks for the missed trades Sierracharts. I love you most of the times, but damn, sometimes I just hate sierracharts. |

We apologize for the confusion. You just need to set the Trade Account on the Trade Window. This is documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeWindow.html#SelectingTradeAccount This has been mentioned in the What's New page in the release notes for the version where this changed. Also , there are release notes for the newer versions which are specific to Financial Advisor accounts describing the changes. Sierra Chart requests and receives continuous Trade Position updates for all of the subaccounts in a Financial Advisor account automatically now. Interactive Brokers documentation was updated, but we did not update the image. We will do that today. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We did not change anything that would cause this: I noticed this when I entered orders and some customers didn't received them. Unless this has something to do with the selected Trade Account on the Trade Window. Not really sure because we do not know your Financial Advisor account configuration or have a good understanding of them. These changes have been out now for more than a month and we have not had anyone report an issue like this. So we are surprised by the trouble. We would have expected that everything would work quite well since at this time, we have achieved the best integration to Financial Advisor accounts compared to previously.
