Abnormal hanging and no response or terminated

Hi,
Since SR was updated (the new logo was used), it frequently unexpectedly abnormally hang,no response or even terminated (exit) when I click OC button.

I have to manually terminate it in Task Manager of Windows10.

It is a very serious problem and impact my trading , please look into and solved it asap.

Are you using Sierra Chart Spreadsheets?

Are you using any ACSIL custom studies?

Hi,Sir:

I have described all the problems and no need to attach any picture.
I think you should resolve this problem asap,instead of advising user to go back to earlier version.

So, solve the problem, DO NOT let it happen in the new version SR.

We did not ask for a picture. We asked for a Chartbook. You also did not provide answers to our two questions.

With the help of another user, the issue is resolved. And it would be absolutely stupid for us to not tell you to go back to an earlier version. We want to resolve this problem immediately for you. To do that, you need to go back to a previous version in order to get it resolved for you.


So, solve the problem, DO NOT let it happen in the new version SR.


It is resolved and we cannot guarantee something like this cannot happen again. However, this issue is rare and it simply involves an ACSIL structure member misalignment in relation to existing outside compiled studies. Assuming we understand what the problem is in your case, and we have no idea because we did not get your Chartbook, it is an unexpected issue that is something that we would not have known about ahead of time until some users encountered the problem. This issue only affected a very very small percentage of our users. Less than 1%.

It is not an issue that we would ever have been able to reproduce ourselves.

The problem though is because you did not give us a Chartbook, there is no way we can confirm the problem is even resolved for you. But most likely. So cooperation from you is absolutely essential. But that is up to you. If you still have troubles, do not post here again unless you are willing to give us the requested information. That should be understood by you.

The issue is related to Chart Drawings in ACSIL custom studies.

As expected we do not observe any issue when opening this Chartbook. The issue must relate to custom studies as previously said.

Update to the latest release of Sierra Chart and recompile this custom studies file to be sure there is no further problem:
UserStudies008.dll.

What was the intent of posting the Chartbook? We were quite clear before about the reason for the issue, and that it was resolved. It was not an issue that will be able to reproduce ourselves.
