Just happened 1 min ago. The numbers on the DOM would freeze up for 20 sec. Looks like it disconnected but theres no error message. The whole DOM looks frozen and there is no order coming thru on the T&S. This is in CL. I'm with GAIN and using sierra chart data feed.

Thanks.

OK we do see what particular server you are connected to, so we are watching that server and this symbol to see if we notice this.

Do you notice the same problem with another symbol?

Like ESZ17

The best way to monitor this is through File >> Open Time and Sales Window and enable Settings >> Show Bid and Ask Records.

I'll continue to monitor this with ES as comparison also. If its not the data feed then it could really be a quiet moment in CL. But I haven't seen it freeze like this from watching the DOM the last 6 months. The bid/ask doesn't change and no orders are coming down the T&S then it unfreezes and everything moves at the same time. I will rewatch a screen recording to see if I can capture it on video. Thanks.

Here is a youtube video of the issue.

10:57:37 the feed freezes up
10:58:07 feed comes back - note how all the late data comes in at the same time in the T&S

Can see T&S catch up on the data on far right.

10:57:37 55 lots
10:57:40 19 lots
etc...

This could potentially be a processing issue on our server, but if that were true, it would be affecting other users as well. We are not observing this and we have not had any other reports of this.

When you notice this, reconnect to the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

That will switch to the other server.

At this point it is hard to say where the problem is, but it could also be some connectivity issue somewhere between our server and your location.

We are making some changes this evening which will reduce the load on the server, but really the server is under very little load anyway. At the time we only noticed about 16% load. This is not even remotely close to a high load. Also, the number of users on that server at the time was only about 60. On other servers, we can run about 1000 without an issue. But then again the data rates on those servers is not as high.
