Scenario: I want to use a regular version of Sierra Chart (connecting to another broker) AND the Infinity Futures InfinityAT version of Sierra Chart at the same time on the same computer. Is this possible given that InfinityAT has its own application launch and login functionality? It seems they cannot coexist. If it does work, what is the correct procedure to install InfinityAT on top of my existing Sierra Chart installation and have them run simultaneously? Thanks |

Yes this will work and there is nothing special to do. It seems they cannot coexist. Why do you say this?If it does work, what is the correct procedure to install InfinityAT on top of my existing Sierra Chart installation and have them run simultaneously? There is nothing special to do because this will automatically be installed in a separate folder compared to your existing Sierra Chart installation.. That folder is C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA

What I was asking initially was whether these two instances would run side-by-side. It appears not to. Installing InfinityAT modified my data connection so that when I launched Sierra Charts the way I usually do, it was trying to connect to the Infinity Futures data connection. I changed that data connection back to CTS-Fix and my main charts are working fine again. I then launch InfinityAT through its icon and their DOM and trade window start and appear to work normally. However, when I attempt to open Sierra Charts from InfinityAT, it tries to do so using my CTS instance of Sierra. This obviously does not work. I was thinking that I could run InfinityAT in a secondary instance of Sierra but those additional instances seem tied to the default Sierra instance as far as the data connection is concerned. Is this configuration supported (running Sierra Chart connected to a seperate data feed and InfinityAT in different chart instances?) Or have I dorked it up? Thanks |

We have read what you said and we have looked into this, and there should not be a problem. But unless we validate everything you have done, the installation folders, and a registry entry, we cannot know for certain. Anyway, there is a solution to this. You have an installation of Sierra Chart you use with CTS. That is fine. Install another copy of Sierra Chart into a folder like C:\SierraChartTransAct and set it to use TransAct following these instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TransAct.php#SetupInstructions No longer run Sierra Chart from the TransAct software. You may want to copy your data and configuration files from the previous Sierra Chart TransAct installation (C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA) to the new one.
