Hi, I am having difficulties in changing attached orders for an already submitted position. The attached orders i can send, have no parentID specified. From your documentation: Follow the instructions below to change the configuration of Attached Orders for a parent order after the parent order has been submitted. For the easy ability to switch among different Attached Order configurations, save each configuration as a Trade Window Configuration. Cancel the existing Target and Stop orders for the parent order. For instructions, refer to Modifying and Canceling Orders on the Chart on the Chart Trading page. Select the particular Attached Order configuration you want to use and then use the Send Attached Orders Order type. I understand that should be an "Send attached orders" which will set the parentID to the parent order previously submitted, and then "Send attached orders by price/position" which will make independent attached orders. But i cannot find how to send "Send attached orders", only the "Send attached orders by price/position". My goal is to change attached orders, by cancelling the existing ones and sending new ones, related to the parent order submitted previously. What am I missing ? Thanks |

I understand that should be an "Send attached orders" which will set the parentID to the parent order previously submitted, Where did you read this? This is not documented anywhere. This functionality does not even exist. In the documentation you referred to above, you are simply looking at a section title but that's not giving the exact commands that you would select. If you read the section, you will understand what needs to be done. But nowhere is there any documentation about the setting of the parent internal order ID. Sorry, i explained it badly. What I was thinking was about sending attached orders to an already submitted order. I jumped to the conclusion that for it to work, it should have the parentID of the parent order, like the original attached orders had. So, the issues i am having is, with the original attached orders when submitting the parent order vs removing and adding new attached orders. * when order terminated by limit or stop, i get the proper sound ( stop or target sound ), and not the just "order filled sound" as in the "general trade settings" * when i add size ( scale in ), the attached orders don't change, and the size is adjusted accordingly, but when having attached orders which are not the original ones, a new set of attached orders are created. is there a way to change attached orders without losing the "features" of the original attached orders ? ( I hope i am explaining better now ...) |

This is not going to be the case.is there a way to change attached orders without losing the "features" of the original attached orders ? Another thing we realize is that in the documentation here: Attached Orders: Changing Attached Orders Configuration After Parent Order Has Filled Did not explain that the procedure only applies for when the parent order has filled. It has now been updated. It sounds like you just want to cancel the parent order and the Attached Orders and resubmit new ones, assuming the parent order has not yet filled. No, there is not.
OK. It would be cool if there was, or there could be but me not knowing. It sounds like you just want to cancel the parent order and the Attached Orders and resubmit new ones, assuming the parent order has not yet filled.
Want to do that, but when parent order was filled. I just want to be able to change attach orders to a "parent order/position" and have the scale-in and sound events work like the attached orders that originally went with the "parent order". Anyway, thanks for the help. |
