There is no data for the past 2 trading sesisons (7/15 and 7/16) for august soybeans futures (which is still active) when the chart setting is on continous contract "date ruled back adjusted setting". However, when the continous contract setting under chart settings is changed to "none", the chart successfully loads dates 7/15 and 7/16 just fine. I tried reloading, recacculating the data an also deleting all the data and redownloading it for the symbol. Why does seirra do this?

Why would there be data for Saturday and Sunday data before Sunday evening in the chart? It makes no sense to us. You should not see this data under any conditions, unless you are using an incorrect time zone.

So there is no data for 7/13 and 7/14 when I set the continuous contract setting as 'date based rollover with back adjusted' but there IS data when I set it as a NON continous contract

August is not a supported month for a ZS Continuous Futures Contract and we see that the November 2017 contract is being used instead. Not sure why that is happening and we have to look into it. But you should just be able to follow through the procedure here to get the missing data: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading It does look fine for us: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1500305180745.png Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I said in my previous post that I already tried all those steps of redownloading the data and loading it to the august contract. When I change the continous contract to 'none' the dates load but when I set it to continous contract volue ruled back-adjusted, the dates don't appear. Please make sure that the chart picture you sent me is for the continous contract.

Why is August not supported? It's the front month contract provided by the CME so it's the only reasonable contract to trade soybeans. That doesn't make sense to me.

Yes the chart image provided is a Continuous Futures Contract chart. You can see here that November is the most actively traded contract now: http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/agricultural/grain-and-oilseed/soybean.html We still need to look into why when you are using the August symbol, that November is displaying. We have looked into this issue and determined that there is no problem here. The August contract is not an active contract and not included for ZS for Continuous Futures Contract charts and that is why the month is rolled over to November automatically like it should be. Also, when you went to re-download the data, the November contract should have been listed and selected and that would have solved the original issue.
