I was just signing up for the 2 week IQ trial for data to use with my IB accounts. I have been using IB data but need the more precise tick and bid/ask. I saw an old post that said IB participated in the CME waiver program but on the IQ page concerning the CME fee waiver, Interactive Brokers is not listed. Does IB participate in the fee waiver program? Thanks

IB is a participant in the DTNIQ CME waiver program. It is on their website, if you cannot find it, start a chat session on DTN's support page. I use SC, IB, and DTNIQ and utilize the waiver program as do many other traders I know.

Hi KenG, Can you tell me if your Fee Waiver is working this month (October 2013)? I am using the same software combo as you and it hasn't been working since end of September. IQFeed Support hasn't found an answer yet. Thanks, Phil |

We will be offering an exchange fee waiver for CME data for Interactive Brokers customers when we release our CME data feed by the end of this month.

cskan35: As far as I am aware, the fee waiver is in effect for Interactive Brokers thru DTNIQ. I still use it and I have not seen any "new" charges showing up on my DTNIQ feed and their website still shows IB as a participant in the Fee waiver program. You need to be certain that you have TWS running a good part of the time that DTNIQ is up, and that the port number that you told the DTNIQ software to use when connecting to IB is still the one you have in the preferences of your TWS instance and that it is a "real" trading account, not a paper trading account. One other issue I did run into, but only at the initial setup of the DTN software interface to IB for the fee waiver, is the anti virus software I was running. Once I disabled that for the initial connection validation, I have not had a problem since then. HTH. Ken |

Thanks guys for the response. I figured it out, I had to move the exchangewaiver.exe to a different folder. |

cskan325: Glad you worked it out. Can you give us just a thumbnail idea of what folder that .exe needed to be in in order to function properly. Just knowledge to have if for some reason a similar problem happens to me [or anyone else following this thread]. Thanks. ken |

The default path for the exchangewaiver.exe file is in My Documents/DTN/IQFeed, but for reasons I still don't understand, it just stopped working for me. I moved the file to the higher level folder (My Documents/DTN) and it started working again. I think it happened after I updated to the latest IQClient (Version 5.1.0.5), so if you run into a similar problem, hopefully this workaround will solve it. |

The new Sierra Chart CME exchange fee waived data feed is now available: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php As long as you connect at least once to your Live account during the month, it is possible to also get this data feed when using an Interactive Brokers paper trading account. Great News! Is there any trial period at all in order to transition into the new service and check for any issues? Thanks, looking forward to the switch at my next data rollover. |

There is no trial for this because we have to pay for the data feed ourselves to each customer it is provided to. You should not be experiencing any issues with it. If you are concerned, you could subscribe to it in the middle of the month and you would only be charged half of the 35 USD.
