Some charts just will not open

When opening a chatbook, some charts just will not open. This has never happening before. What do you think is going on here now? |

We see you are using version 1541. So this is not a problem in that particular version. What we want you to do is follow the instructions here to use a backup Chartbook: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Chartbooks.html#BackupChartbook Start off with the newest back up and go back to earlier ones until you get one that opens all of the charts. I did that. I can tell you though that I have a lot of charts open not too many symbols. It says ST:13 in the status connection. WHat else can I do? |

That Chartbook has 75 charts in it. When opening it we encountered and exception which we have now fixed and that may have led to the problem where not all of the charts opened. This problem still persists even after version 1542 updated. This time with a different chartbook attached. It has more than 20 charts in it and only 2 opened. See chartbook attached. |

The Chartbook in post #7 contains 10 charts. There was no error opening it or any errors logged. If you are seeing less charts, the issue must be a system issue on your side maybe with creating windows. CW HAS 10 CHARTS IN IT. But a few observations here - 1. 2 shows up; 8 others remain minimized; 2. There were, however, many others in this chartbook that were made to show up (and not minimize), which seems to be have gotten deleted. Looks like some sort of corruption that has happened to this file. And this is where the problem is as to how come they just got erased? I have a backed up version of this file and that has all the charts as I expect and they open too. ANd I do not know as to why after certain release updates - this stuff happens. |

1. Select Window >> Arrange Minimized Windows to see the minimized icons if you cannot currently. 2. We do not know what happened to them. They no longer exist. There was one recent release where there was a problem involving the saving of Chart Drawings to a Chartbook which may have led to the problem if you were using that version. But this is not a problem anymore in the current version. So just use a backup Chartbook file and the current version, and you will be fine going forward.
