I am only seeing the "D" displayed when there is a positive divergence but not with a negative divergence. I am looking in the chart value for tools window and the bottom two rows for the div. det. study are Positive Divergence and Negative Divergence. When the Positive row has a value I see a D on the chart, but when the Negative row has a value I see nothing. For example, Negative Divergence in the window says 47.96 but no D. Looking at this a little longer, perhaps the problem is with the Angle Difference row. When the main graph angle is negative (ie price going down) and the study angle is positive (ie moving average going up), this is a divergence I'd like to flag but since the Angle Difference is a negative number, it doesn't give a "D" because the Opposite Slope Divergence Threshold is a positive number. So if the threshold is 10 but I have a negative divergence of -20 it won't trigger. Maybe this could look at an absolute value? One other question. In this example, the Main Graph Angle (which is price) goes from 0 to +- 60 or more. But the moving average Study Angle shows up as +- .02 to .04, even though on the chart the price and the MA are pretty much the same angle most of the time. Is there some setting to adjust so they are both closer? Example: looking at 1 particular bar where price and the MA are basically following the same slope, in the Chart Values for Tools window it shows Main Graph Angle 62.24 and Study Angle .03 Thanks for any help you can provide. |

The Divergence Detector has been greatly improved upon. You must update to the current version of Sierra Chart following these instructions: Software Download: Fast Update And you need to refer to the updated documentation for it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudiesReference.php&ID=382#Divergence_Detector Looking at this a little longer, perhaps the problem is with the Angle Difference row.
