Under licensing I found this: You can install Sierra Chart on as many computer systems as you want. However, each Sierra Chart account can only be used on 2 computer systems at the same time or concurrently. So I assume what I am attempting to do is ok, but it is failing to connect to the second computer. Maybe I am just missing something basic? Thank you. |

The connection to an external service is completely separate from the Sierra Chart licensing and is unrelated. After trying to connect, provide a copy of the Message Log by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. GAIN Capital FIX Trading: Sending the Logon message. | 2017-02-20 08:03:54
Above are the relevant messages.GAIN Capital FIX Trading socket (54) | Socket gracefully closed by remote side. | 2017-02-20 08:03:54 In the case of Gain Capital a second connection is not allowed. You can ask Gain Capital about this but we do not think you can pay extra to get a second connection as is said by a user in the prior post. There are two solutions to this. Use the DTC server in Sierra Chart to share the Gain Capital connection you have in your main instance of Sierra Chart: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DTCServer.php Or use CTS and the new DTC based low-cost connection model which is documented on this page: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CTS_T4.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
