HI,

Thanks for your app and I am in trial period. I have strong interest in playing with your app and learn.

When I play with the numbered bar chart, I find a problem that could be a bug. So please let me know whether I use your software correctly. Please see the attached image. My numbered bar chart is a reverse chart, ie 0.25*6 PF chart.

You can see that I set each bar of the chart to have 2 columns: the left column is the volume, the right column is bid volume*ask volume. I set exclude <=300. Now the problem comes. If you see the last bar in the image, there is a price level with the volume of 197. How could that be? This does not occur once, it happens many times in other bars.

Is this a bug? or do I not use your software correctly?

Thank you! I am looking forward to hearing back from the support.

The problem is you did not follow the Numbers Bars instructions. Make sure Sierra Chart is set for a tick by tick data configuration as the step-by-step instructions explain:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php

Also you are not going to see hardly any trading activity with a volume filter of <= 300 and it does not seem to make sense. Refer to:

Thanks a lot!

However, I check the data service settings. I do not see any problems. I also see the verification suggested in the url you send to me. I do not see any problem either. Please see the attached images.

Thanks again. Please guide me.

Furthermore, I set the exclude <=80, you can see at a price level, the volume is 76. This is not correct. Please see the attached image.

Thank you!

We will make this more clear in the instructions but you are going to have to re-download the data as explained:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php

Go to the chart and select Edit >> Delete All Data Download.

The Numbers Bar study itself may have set the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit to 1 Tick but this was done after some non-tick data was already downloaded.

Thanks a lot! It works!

I have another question regarding importing a lot of price level lines in a chart. Because there are quite a lot and I need to change them everyday, may I ask whether there is a way more convenient than drawing horizontal lines directly on the chart? for instance, can I define them in a file and then import the file to sierra chart software? or any other better way?
