Hi SC, I look at a given contract in multiple time frames. So in a chart book, I will have the same contract on different time frames each in a separate chart. the issue is that sometimes, ONE of the charts in the chartbook will stop updating the price. The remaining charts in the chart book will continue to work. this issue is problematic if the time frame that stops updating is the one that i have alerts set. i can fix the problem by doing a delete and download data but if this issue could be fixed more comprehensively, would be appreciated. thanks |

There is nothing that we need to fix with this. Next time this happens, refer to help topic 3 to determine the cause: Https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=helpdetails3.html If other charts for the same symbol are updating, then re-downloading some of the data does not make sense as being the solution. There could not be a problem with the chart data file itself which that procedure could potentially correct. There must be some other cause. it happened again. so please see this example. they are both the same contract. just different time frames one is a 17 min chart and the other is a 34 min chart. the 17 did not update on the open today. the 34 did update. there are many charts in this chart book - all of the same contract. all of them updated except the 17 minute one. if i do a delete all data and download, then it works again but it is rather annoying when the one chart that freezes is the one with the alarms on it. it just seems to happen at random. next time it could be a different chart that doesnt update. |

The 17 minute chart is not scrolled to the end. This is explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails3.html#h3.8 We did previously provide a link to this page.
