mini Hang Seng Index Historical Data not Populating Properly

Hello, I appreciate the one week extension on my account! As suggested in a previous post, I matched my sierra charts settings up with the instructions provided in the link below: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php#ServicesThatSupportBVandAV Still no luck with loading historical data for the mini Hang Seng Index. It was suggested that in this particular instance the problem is stemming from the CQG data itself. I'm wondering if it's a solvable issue, or if I'll need a different data feed provider? In the tick by tick data configuration link it mentions that CQG supports bid volume and ask volume, so I'm not sure if there is something they need to activate on their end or if it's just not possible? Also possibly worth mentioning, but I do have CQG's "Level 2 HKFE data" which is referenced from the link below. http://www.cqg.com/partners/exchanges/hkfe Please let me know if you think this is something that can be resolved with CQG, or if you think I will need to find a new data feed provider entirely in order to have complete mini Hang Seng Index data. As per this instruction: "6. If you made any changes, then you will need to re-download the data in the Intraday charts by going to an Intraday chart for a symbol and selecting Edit >> Delete All Data And Download." I did not, because I didn't have to make any changes, the settings were already adjusted properly. |

We are now finally able to test this and Sierra Chart is able to create the bid volume and ask volume from the CQG historical tick data: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1459534785747.png Those bars were created from historical data. What we want you to do is to go to your HSI chart and re-download the data with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. After this we need to see the Message Log. I probably should've been more specific when describing my issue, so I apologize. My problem is that I can't go very far back into the historical data. The only historical data that I can see is that which has been populated from the real time data. Is there a solution for pulling up more extensive historical data beyond what's populated from the live data, or is that the only way to track historical data? I will also post a message log if that would be helpful to the solution of this issue. Thanks! |

We will be able to see the problem when we get the Message Log. Most likely your CQG account is not authorized for historical data. What we want you to do is to go to your HSI chart and re-download the data with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. After this we need to see the Message Log. It looks like I'm having the same issue although the FCM just said that the historical data has been turned on.
