Hi, I am unsure whether the standard SC list of studies (Studies > Studies Available) changes with each upgrade (?) but with SC 1382 the more simple SS System/Alert study format seems to have changed to the higher complexity included in the System for Trading, was this intentional? I have checked two separate installations of SC and it seems to be the case on both. When you add the Alert/System study the more complex SS with trading abilities is displayed. Refer to the description in the docs below; "The difference between the Spreadsheet System for Trading study as compared to the Spreadsheet System/Alert study, is that the Spreadsheet System for Trading study has much more advanced logic for creating a trading system.... If you just simply want to create a simple System or advanced Alert to give you an indication when your rules return TRUE, then you will want to use the Spreadsheet System/Alert study." https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SystemsAlerts.php I have a copy of the simple System/Alert sheet but can this be corrected in future SC releases. This is most definitely not the case. This would be next to impossible and we verified that this is indeed not the case. You must be misunderstanding this for reasons which we do not know. Hi, Yes, this was my mistake. I deleted the saved version of "DefaultSpreadsheetStudy.scss" from my data file which brought up a "new" DefaultSpreadsheetStudy.scss with the correct settings. If anyone ever saves the sheet to this default name instead of giving it a unique name up front (under settings) they will have this issue i.e. the same default name will be given to the three versions of the SS study instead of three different default names based on each study name (DefaultSpreadsheetStudy, DefaultSpreadsheetSystemforTrading,DefaultSpreadsheetSystemAlert), in my opinion this is confusing. Off course now that I understand this it won't be an issue. Always name your SS upfront under settings so that it loads to that name; I was using "save as" after the "DefaultSpreadsheetStudy.scss" was opened. Regards |

We added the two other default names for the other versions of the Spreadsheet study.
