Right now I am using Rithmic Data. The data service was working fine until I updated today. Is there any plan to rectify this problem right now? In the meantime, I would like to return Sierra Chart to the previous Version. Can you please explain how I can do this? If this is not possible can you please let me know which data services are still supported by Sierra Chart? Especially ones that will continue to be supported. |

I was looking through older posts and saw the same pronblem. SC says there is a bridge crash with rithmic data and that a connectin cannot be made or something. I uninstalled the new version of SC and replaced it with an older version. Rithmic Data should work again, but I'l have to reaquire my rithmic data login info to know for sure. Do you have any plans to fix this bridge server crash with rithmic? |

Could you please describe what is exactly happening in your case. So you are saying the GSP bridge program is crashing? This would be an uncommon condition. If it does it would be caused by a problem in the Rithmic software, not with Sierra Chart. So it is not something we would be able to resolve. But it's not something you would commonly encounter. And with older versions, if there is a crash problem with the Rithmic software it would bring down the main Sierra Chart process. Now there is a separate process which runs the Rithmic software safely so Sierra Chart is not affected. You definitely are better off on the current version. Not with an older version. And besides, an update with Rithmic is going to be mandatory in about a month. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Well idk what a crash entails. All I nkow is that I installed the newest version, 990, of sierra and when sierra reopened I could not connect to Rithmic and I got a popup window saying there was an attempt made to connect to the gSP bridge thingy of Rithmic or soethng :). & it offered me no other solutoin other than to disconnect and close. So I uninstalled sierra chart. Saved my data files, and reinstalled an earlier version. Rithmic now works fine.

Even still however, I will need to update sierra at a later point, and I cannot do this since I wil run into the gsp bridge error again. I've called rithmic but they, as always, will likely take a very long time to respond. If you could help me understand what might be the issue or what has happened in previous cases that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Rithmic GSP Bridge crash This post matches exactly what I ran into. Rather than go through the trouble of finding out what went wrng, I'd rather switch my data service to a company that SC supports. Could you recommend a few unfiltered data providers that I can easily switch over to? |

The most reliable unfiltered data we have seen is CTS T4 or Trading Technologies (TT FIX): http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/data.php For data only services you can look at Barchart Data Service and IQ Feed.
