Hi,

I want to see all the trades I took for last 5 months. I'm unable to see that in Trade activity log even after properly selecting date range and account number.

Please advise.

What I see is activities for some days while many days are not showing any trades even though trades were taken on those days.

The Trade Activity data is not necessarily going to be there. You need to refer to this section for an understanding of how that works:

We also see you are running an older version of Sierra Chart. When you can, update to the current version by using Help >> Download Current Version.

Hi, I don't see more than 50% of trades for this login. Other login I've, works good. Can I get more help here? I've 7 accounts with you guys and I really need help.

Was Sierra Chart running at the time the orders filled for the trades you want to see?

I want to see all the trades I took for last 5 months.
Is Global Settings >>General Trade Settings >> Number of Days to Save in Trade Activity Log set to at least 150 days?

Also update to the latest release of Sierra Chart because newer versions maintain backups of Trade Activity Logs. The version you are running does not.

yes. I place trades only through Sierra Chart. Number of days to save in trade activity log was set to 93 days.

I see trades in early July though August mid. Then whole September month is missing. See trades for some days in October and some in November.

I'll download new release but meantime what can be done?

The only way we can analyze this is to tell us what symbol you have been trading and attach the Trade Activity Log file here so we can have a look at it.

The file is in the main Sierra Chart folder and it is named TradeActivityLog.DAT.

I trade F.ES.EPU15 / EPZ15, F.US.ENQU15 / ENQZ15, F.US.CLEQ15 / CLEU15 / CLEV15 / CLEX15.

I'm trying to get records from July 01 through today for accounts 502655 and 502656.

To give you an example, we see many order fills for July and August for F.ES.EPU15 for both of the accounts mentioned.

Give us an example of something you do not see, to see if we can find it.

Example:

trade activity log is attached for each account.

Please notice that no trades for the month of September for account 502656 while many trades missing for other months.

For account 502655, there is only two records for September in trade activity log while many trades missing for other months.

We get the same results that you describe:

We cannot change what currently is the case at this point in time.

If there are no backups you have of the Trade Activity Log, assuming the order fills were there to begin with, then you will have to manually insert the order fills as explained below.

In the case of CQG, historical order fills are available for the current day only and clear after the trading day close. So if they were not received in real-time, then the possibility of later getting them from the server after the trading day is over, is impossible.

Also for unknown reasons perhaps there was a problem writing the order activity as it occurred in real-time to the Trade Activity Log file.

We cannot speculate what the problem was. We do not know what should exist, and exactly what the circumstances were at the time. It simply is impossible for us to know. We have given a couple of possibilities above. Although we think the second reason given above is unlikely.

At this time, you will need to manually insert the order fills using Edit >> Insert Trade Activity Entry:

Make sure to select the Trade Activity Tab to be able to insert the missing fills and select an existing fill to use it as a template.
