I am a discretionary trader. I sim trade the live data stream [scid] for practice. I recently have been reading about using the replay feature. I see that the trading activity data can be detached & saved separate from the SCID recorded data. Also that auto trading & back testing features can used with the SCID replay. #1. So I am thinking...why can't the SCID be used to sim trade against - after the original trade data has been removed , saved & renamed? This would enable people to sim trade the scid multiple times to perfect their methodology. #2. Related - the ability to segment pieces of the SCID w related sim trade data in order to save news events etc [ like Unemployment,FOMC & NFP days] to practice & review? Good marketing tool!! later--------------Thanx!! |

1, 2. While replaying the chart you can certainly perform simulated trading. There is nothing special to do. Simply enter the orders as the chart is replaying. This is supported. You can use any of up to 100 simulation accounts available.
