I am a discretionary trader. I sim trade the live data stream [scid] for practice. I recently have been reading about using the replay feature. I see that the trading activity data can be detached & saved separate from the SCID recorded data. Also that auto trading & back testing features can used with the SCID replay. #1. So I am thinking...why can't the SCID be used to sim trade against - after the original trade data has been removed , saved & renamed? This would enable people to sim trade the scid multiple times to perfect their methodology. #2. Related - the ability to segment pieces of the SCID w related sim trade data in order to save news events etc [ like Unemployment,FOMC & NFP days] to practice & review?
