We are going to be monitoring the US equities data feed at the 9:30 AM open for the next three days and determine what the problem is.

We did make a couple of small changes now that might make some difference, assuming the issue is on our side and not an external issue.

We monitored the US equities data feed this morning at 9:30 AM US Eastern time and did not see any delay. Did you? We were looking at the symbol AAPL.

Everything was working perfectly with no indication of any CPU load problem or delays from the source Barchart data feed.

It is possible there is a problem with the Session Time settings for the chart. Refer to help topic 3:

With all of the Data and Trading services Sierra Chart supports, this question is so vague to a level we cannot answer it at all. What data are you referring to? Actually no need to provide any other information. And also what is meant by "accurate"? In what way would data be inaccurate? So this is vague in two different ways.

Well you referenced monitoring the US equity feed for three days, this is day 2 I believe.

There was no delay of the US equities data feed from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, this morning at 9:30 AM. The CPU load was very low and data processing was very efficient. To give you an idea of the data rate, sometimes we see 20,000 messages a second and the CPU load may only go to 2% for the process that handles the data feed.

One comment about what is stated in the first post, so far we have no direct evidence there has ever been a delay and we do not know why the user experienced what they did. In one test we did months ago, we did notice a delay but it may have been the test itself which triggered the delay. The test methods have been changed.

So if there is still a problem, please let us know. The issue must have some other cause.

Did you notice any delay at the 9:30 AM US Eastern time open for the US stock data from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed today?

We did notice a 2 second delay at the open. This was due to a large amount of message processing from about 35,000 messages that came in at the open, which caused the lag.

This kind of problem can be resolved by us. We will see what can be done. We will monitor a couple more times and see if we notice this again.

We have taken the steps to solve the problems with the US equities data feed and have implemented temporary solutions.
