1) For some reason I am asked to login every time I visit the support board, even when I never logged out and simply closed the browser window. Can this be changed? With the old support board I was logged in at least a couple of days at a time, now it asks for login information every time I come here. 2) Will there be a "search" feature? It currently says it is not supported, but you will be inundated with many duplicate support requests if we can't search. Granted, some users don't utilize search anyway, but many appreciate the value of looking for issues that have already been solved. |

1. For easy login you can use Help >> Support Board from within Sierra Chart. The login is maintained by using a session cookie which probably gets cleared when you close the browser. 2. Yes. 1) I wish it were that easy. Here are my browser settings: http://screencast.com/t/WTu4imiOsMpy (note that there are no sites listed in the "exceptions" here either) Please note that every single other site, among the many that I log in to, all maintain my login across even weeks of inactivity. So, this is not a browser issue. I have not changed anything, and even the old support forum kept me logged in for a few days. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? |

Actually, I just examined the cookies from sierra. I visited sierrachart.com, and observed sierrachart.com and www.sierrachart.com each with 2 cookies given. Then I logged in, and observed no additional cookies created. I quit the browser, checked the cookies again, and same thing. When visiting sierrachart.com I was not logged in. What is the name of the cookie? I see one named CAID but I do not see any new cooies created or modified after I logged in. |

I use Firefox, and I must login every time I close the browser, but it's no big deal because the Firefox saves the username and password.

As you can see, this cookie is set to expire every time the session ends. http://screencast.com/t/6DYS8rzo In the section above that shows sierrachart.com - 5 cookies, there are three cookies for the prior support board for language and a couple of other settings, and these all expire one year from being created. |
