I think that the title pretty much describes the issue I'm having. I have open several charts, each one is a different TF (different bar sizes). I am using regular time/price bar charts. When I watch the replay unfold, many of the charts are slightly out of alignment with the others. *This is a *Major* issue, because I can often see what occurs after the place where I am considering entering a trade. And once I "peek" ahead accidently by viewing a chart that is ahead of the one I'm trading on, then I can't just forget that I saw it. Thus the test is ruined! Please help ! |

On the replay panel, be sure to check "For All Charts In Chartbook"

Yes, did you enable "For All Charts In Chartbook" on the replay window? This is the first question we have. Also make sure Sierra Chart is set to a tick by tick data configuration: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I should have thought to include that info. yes I do have "for all charts in chartbook" checked. As for the other idea with "ETH" and "RTH"... I'm not sure where to verify this. All the charts are not off by much...They are relatively close, and some are the same. If you are talking about "Time Zone", then I think they are all set to "Use Global Time Zone". Could you please clarify this? Right now, most of they say 1.55707 but a couple charts instead say 1.55700 That may seem very close but when I'm testing it has sometimes been enough to where it shows me what is going to occur on a different Time Frame before I can make the decision. And of course, if I cant make it in the dark then it's useless. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-03-25 19:52:06

Remove all the studies from all of the charts you are replaying to see if that corrects the problem. You may have a study which is altering the prices. Basically you should not have a problem like this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. .....OK, I will try that, But what happens if it is caused by a study? I only use built in studies and I need all the ones I am using. Is there some way that simply reloading all the charts at once might help? or? |

One study that came to mind which could be a problem is: Round Price Bars to Tick Size.

I removed all the studies and it is still occurring. Sometimes its off by a hundred pips or more on different charts! I use a variety of time frames from 2min to 240min to daily, etc... They symbol is EURUSD. I have no clue why this is occurring. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-03-27 01:55:22

Ok thanks. I was afraid you would say that. When using larger time frames it seems to take a very long time to get through a test due to all the pauses inherent in using Accurate Trading System Back Test Mode.

The question is, does it solve the problem? After thinking about it, this is what we concluded is the most likely problem.
