Hello SC Support ,
One question, are you planning in the short term to launch a Sierra Chart Mobile? ..
I think for those who live every day in the big stock market uncertainty a mobile platform that in case of technical problems allows to close or manage open positions.

Thanks in advance

I am curious about this topic as well. Looks like the question was never answered. I had this exact scenario play out today where I had Internet issues and was unable to close out of an 8 point winning trade. I had no other way of accessing my charts and ended up exiting at break even when things started working again. It would be great to have a way to close your position when technical difficulties occur.

The proper solution to this is to use a mobile wireless connection, 3G or 4G, and connect that to your internal network as a backup when your wired Internet service goes down.

You will need to contact your mobile provider about the options available to you.

It would be nice to have a SC mobile app so one can trade off SC charts while sipping a coffee at Starbucks. The IB mobile app is decent but miles behind SC functionality.

I guess its not in the cards in the new future.. Judging by the number of views, a lot of people are interested.

Mobile applications are not our area of expertise .

With all of the continued development of Sierra Chart itself and backend server systems for Sierra Chart, it is not something which is planned.

Also, I checked and I can't turn my phone into a hotspot. So is there no other solution for closing out a trade when you have technical difficulties? This is where a mobile app would really help.

You should be able to get a wireless modem from your mobile provider that uses a USB port and plugs directly into your computer and will give you Internet access.

setup a computer (home, amazon EC2, etc..) remote desktop from your laptop, phone, etc.
problem solved :)
Here's a pic of Sierra Chart running through remote desktop on my iPhone6.
it's not ideal, but it works great while out & about.

My mobile provider does not allow any tethering or hotspots. It's part of their contract. Skoosht, your solution doesn't solve my issue of exiting a trade if my internet goes down like it did today. There's not really a solution to that issue it would seem.

User463662 if you are running your Sierra on a remote pc like Amazon EC2, you won't be at the whim of your internet going out. If your local internet goes down, switch to your phone and connect to the remote pc. Tethering or hotspot isn't required in this instance because you would be using your phones data connection directly. This really is the best way as you can get to this always on instance from anywhere in the world. Your ping times will always be the same since technically it's running from wherever your pc is hosted (Chicago, NYC)
Or call your broker and have them flatten your positions.

Oh ok, thanks for the tip! I don't know what Amazon EC2 is. So I'll have to do a little research, but I really appreciate your help with this! Thank you!
