Hi all,
after years of trading es mini futures I have lost the connection to ib. Problem: The symbol es-201306-globex is unknown to ib. Though it is the first one in line as suggested by sc http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/IBSymbols.html#Futures. As well I can select in the list (F5 Chart settings, find symbol).

Should it still work? Did IB change symbol codes?

You might have to specify the currency code. Could you post a copy of the Message Log, by following these steps:

Try one or both of these:

1. Update Sierra Chart to the current version by selecting Help >> Download Current Version. You really should update, but we assume there is some reason you are not. We cannot assure Complete compatibility with external services unless you update.

2. Try using this symbol:
ES-201306-GLOBEX-USD

I have updated now. The original reason for going back to a previous version was that the same problem occurred as now.

Both symbols do not work (ES-201306-GLOBEX, ES-201306-GLOBEX-USD):

Currently no data in file to display. Will start historical data download and real-time updates. File: C:\SierraChart\Data\ES-201306-GLOBEX-USD.scid | 2013-03-26 03:36:34

Please contact Interactive Brokers here about this:
api@interactivebrokers.com

You will need to provide them your TWS log file which is normally in the \JTS folder.

Same here. Just opened an ES-201306-GLOBEX chart via Find Symbol in my Live IB account. Backfill and live data with no problems.

pkhst958, you might want to try this:
Global Settings >> Symbol Settings and then click the buttons "Update from Server" and "Full Reset".
Maybe restart IB and SC after doing this.

Hi all,

thanks for your support. After understanding, that the symbol should work I have reinstalled the PC: Now it works again.

Cheers,
Peter
