Hi, I have a chartbook with several charts all the same instrument (YM). But my sim account balance/records do not show the same on all charts. How do I synchronize these? Thanks

I've just flattened two long contracts on one chart, which on another chart the effect has been to flattened one contract and taken me short another contract. So very odd stuff going on. Also I have noticed in the past that, where I have two or more contracts on, that the stop/limit orders to close out one contract often act to close the other, which is frustrating. Is there some setup that I have not carried out correctly on my charts? My charts show the associations of the target and stops for the bracket orders, but not the association with the specific order itself, which can be confusing with more than one contract in place (an average of the positions is shown rather than the position of each order). Is it possible to change this to show each separate order with association lines? Thanks, |

Make sure you have Chart >> Chart Settings >> Load Order Fills for Current Day Only unchecked. And select Chart >> Reload. And take note of this information here:http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartTrading.html#DisplayingOrdersPositionFillsOtherChart Also I have noticed in the past that, where I have two or more contracts on, that the stop/limit orders to close out one contract often act to close the other, which is frustrating. We do not understand what you mean by this.My charts show the associations of the target and stops for the bracket orders, but not the association with the specific order itself, which can be confusing with more than one contract in place (an average of the positions is shown rather than the position of each order). Sierra Chart is not designed for this at all and there is 0% chance of this.

Update: one of my charts ~ 120min YM shows a high of 17980 on 5 Dec, but my 15000 Tick (Trade) chart is showing a high of 17910. Both chart settings are exactly the same other than the bar period, including automatic rollover. Both charts seem to be using the same data file (Date range 2014-10-01 to 2014-12-19). I have reloaded the charts, deleted/downloaded the date for both charts, and restarted SierraChart. Still the same. You comments appreciated please |

You need to determine what contract month you are looking at. Enable Chart >> Show Rollover Dates. For more information, refer to the Continuous Futures Contract documentation page. Great, thanks ~ one chart was set to Back Adjusted, and the other wasn't.
