See attached mark up of user documentation and the attached grab from my trading screen.

Is this part of the manual up to date?

1/ when I change the Graph Draw type on my ES Renko chart I get no difference in what is charted between using Renko Brick with Wicks compared to Candlestick Bars in Graph Draw type, yet the manual seems to imply there should be a difference as one will use Actual open etc whereas the other uses the Renko equivalent.

Also the marked paragraph implies the Chart Values window will display all 4 values, yet you can see in the screen grab the last bar (which is not the end of day nor the end of my data/chart) only shows Renko values.

Yes, the documentation is up-to-date.

1. We notice a difference with Renko Bars when using a Graph Draw Type of Candlestick and Renko Brick with Wicks. Refer to these chart images:

2. This is because you have hidden those fields. Refer to this help topic:

Okay #2/ is solved, thanks.

Re issue #1/, my chart still looks nothing like yours. See attached. I have changed to 8T Renko to match yours and it covers the same date (17th). All the key swing highs and lows are the same price points so we are both looking at the same data.

So why are my Renko bars (set to display as Candlestick bars) looking nothing like yours? In fact the only difference I can see when I use Display as Renko Bricks vs. Display as Candlestick Bars is that the reversal bar is coloured in for the full 16 ticks of reversal.

What other confgiuration should I check that may be forcng my bars to behave differentley to what you are seeing?

We can see a difference when you use Candlesticks in the chart you have posted. The body of the candlestick is greater than 8 ticks. You also have acknowledged you notice a difference. So we are not understanding the question.

In the images we posted, those bars were built from 30 seconds time records not tick by tick. So they may look different than yours.

That will probably be the difference then.

As a matter of interest, how do you produce a Renko chart from 30 second records. Under Chart Settings it does not appear to give any option to select a time period to create a Renko Bar. Or was that a data file you just happen to have handy?
