It definitely does not matter whether the chart is attached to the main window or not. It is impossible for that to be the issue. Basically what it sounds like is there is not an historical data download being started for the symbol which is not updating on the Intraday chart. That is quite unusual. There could be some causes for this and all known possible issues are documented in help topic 3: Https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=helpdetails3.html If I open a new chart for a symbol that is not updating, the new chart opens fine, and the chart with the symbol that was not updating automatically updates.
If you keep this chart open, do you then notice a problem after a reconnection to the data feed?
